Intercity Lines, Inc. is America’s premier enclosed automotive transport company. Intercity’s primary customers are owners of classic cars, antique cars and race cars who wish to transport their vehicles long distances. Also, Intercity provides transport for new vehicles participating in auto shows around the country. Intercity’s transporters are fully enclosed, equipped with state of the art hydraulics and protective equipment, and are fully insured. 

The Problem:

Intercity Lines was seeking a means for their prospective customers to obtain a quote on-line, reserve a transport date and pay on-line with a credit card.

The Solution:

SIS created an on-line booking system for prospective customers to obtain quotes and schedule their transport. The customer completes an on-line application with such information as the type and size of the vehicle, the pick-up location, and the destination. Utilizing ColdFusion and MS SQL programming, this information is stored in a database. Intercity then prepares the quotation, which the customer accesses through a secure browser. If the customer wishes to continue the transaction at the quoted price, Intercity sends an e-mail with a link to an active site. The customer can then book Intercity’s services and make payment on-line. 

The Results:
